In order to prime reality fans for the SA premiere of The Amazing Race Asia – Season Three, the channel will air an Amazing Race Asia Marathon Weekend, broadcasting Seasons One and Two in their entirety over two days. Saturday, 7 August sees The Amazing Race Asia – Season One kick off at 07:15, while Season Two will air back-to-back on Sunday, 8 August in the same timeslot.

Season One - Encore Presentation Date: Saturday, 7 August from 07:15 to 20:30

The first season of The Amazing Race Asia, based on the multiple Emmy® Award-winning American series, introduces host Allan Wu, who guides the first contingent of ten teams in a race across Asia and the Pacific Rim. Starting in Malaysia, the contestants race through 15 cities in eight countries, including Australia, New Zealand, Thailand, India and the United Arab Emirates, touching down on two continents and covering 39,000 km in their quest for the US $100,000 prize.

Season Two - Encore Presentation Date: Sunday, 8 August from 07:15 to 20:30

The Amazing Race Asia – Season Two has a distinctly local flavour, as the teams touch down in Cape Town for the final two legs of their 50,000 km journey across two continents. This season offers both ten diverse teams plus a range of new challenges as these adventurous racers, made up of siblings, best friends, couples and ex-flatmates, go all-out around the clock to bag the US $100,000 prize. Assembling in Singapore, the teams jet off to a wide range of countries, including the Philippines, China, Japan, South Korea, Germany, the Czech Republic and South Africa. Touching down in the Mother City for their final two legs, the remaining racers visit a variety of local locations, including Signal Hill, the Intyatyambo Community Centre in Khayelitsha, the District Six Museum and the 2010 FIFA World Cup stadium in Greenpoint, where they attempt to score three goals.
